Everything you might want to know before reaching out.
The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We'll talk about what has brought you to counselling and what you'd like to work on. I'll also explain how I work and answer any questions you may have. Many people feel a sense of relief after the first session simply from having shared their story in a supportive space.
This depends on your goals and circumstances. Some people attend for a few sessions focused on a specific issue, while others prefer longer-term support. We will review your progress together and make sure the pace feels right for you. There is no pressure to commit to a set number of sessions upfront.
Yes. I see clients in person at 8/6 Benson Avenue, 2/241 Corrimal
Princes highway, NSW 2518, and offer online sessions for anyone in Australia. Online sessions can be just as effective as in-person work and offer flexibility if you are busy, travelling, or not local to the area.
Yes. What you share in counselling is private. There are some limited exceptions — such as if there are serious safety concerns or legal obligations — which I will explain clearly during our first session. These situations are uncommon and I'll always discuss them with you where possible.
Absolutely. It's not unusual for one partner to feel more ready than the other. You are welcome to attend individually — counselling can be valuable for gaining clarity, building skills, and shifting relational patterns even when only one person attends. Sometimes individual change creates space for relational change too.
Yes, absolutely. My practice is inclusive and affirming of all sexualities, genders, cultures, and relationship structures — including monogamous, non-monogamous, and polyamorous partnerships. I welcome people of all backgrounds and am committed to providing a safe, non-judgemental space for everyone.
I use an integrative approach, drawing from evidence-based therapies depending on your needs and goals. These include Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for understanding emotional bonds, the Gottman Method for practical relationship skills, Relational Life Therapy for addressing patterns, and psychodynamic and neurobiologically informed approaches for deeper exploration. This flexibility allows me to adapt to each person or couple. Learn more about my approach →
Individual sessions are $170 and couples sessions are $220. Each session is 50 minutes. A limited number of concession spaces may be available — please get in touch if cost is a concern and we can discuss your options. View full pricing details →
You can reach out through the contact form, by email, or by phone. If you're unsure whether counselling is right for you, I'm happy to arrange a brief introductory chat before you decide to book — no pressure at all.
